Not too long ago, I received two copies of an awesomely cute Christmas book, called “Baby Santa and the Lost Letters.” Seriously, this book was completely adorable. The author, M. Maitland Deland not only told a great story, but the illustrations were beautiful and she even managed to sneak a geography lesson in as animals moved the letters across the continents. Additionally, the book also includes some illustrations of the world and highlighted the area that the animal was in. I really loved this book and the kid did, as well!

As I said earlier, I received two copies of the book, and I can’t possibly keep both. So…

Awesome Webinar [Review]

I recently took the greatest webinar, called “5 Affiliate Marketing Benefits for Bloggers,” put together by Blogging ABCs.  As someone who’s interested in monetizing my blog, this webinar appealed to me, greatly.

I recommend this webinar for bloggers who already who are ready to take their efforts to the next level. The webinar is about an hour long, and includes 20 minutes of Q&A.

I really feel this webinar will help you understand how affiliate marketing works, and will totally get you psyched to start making some money, with your blog!  The presenters, Tricia Meyer and Deborah Carne, are very experienced, in the field, and offer some awesome advice.

Best Left Buried [Book Review]

When I first began reading Best Left Buried, by Cindy Hutchins (ISBN  9781618423634), I wasn’t sure what to expect. After all, it was an eBook by an author I’d never heard of. But, after just reading the prologue, I was hooked.

The first line of the book’s prologue is … “A bird flying out of a house of sickness means the patient will die.” It truly sets the setting, for the entire book.

In the book, the protagonist, Arllss Pardot, receives a call from a mental institution in a small North Carolina town. It seems that her birth mother – the one who’s been locked in the nut house, for 20 years – has died.   So, Arliss has to return to her birth place – a place full of dark and seedy secrets – to bury her mother. When she arrives, she’s pulled into it all. Will she survive? Or will she die, trying to uncover the mystery of her childhood – best left buried?

Warning… this book is not a light-hearted book. It’s dark, twisted and sometimes confusing. But, I LOVED IT!  It was very well-written, and it kept me interested the whole time. I highly recommend it.
