When The Hubster and I bought our house, back in 2004, it was a bank repo. As such, everything in it was the cheapest, quality imaginable. Sinks, faucets, cabinets, carpet, paint, etc. We purchased the house, with plans of small remodeling projects dancing in our heads. So, when I was afforded the opportunity to review a Pilar Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O Technology® and Soap Dispenser from Delta Faucet, I jumped at it.
We got the faucet, pretty quickly. And, as it turns out, The Hubster was as excited as I was, about it. Within two days of receiving it, The Hubster had the faucet installed. I – thankfully – married an extremely handy man, so he installed the faucet, with little more than a glance at the instructions included in the box. If you’re not gifted with the DIY ability, no worries. Delta Faucets has an awesome YouTube channel that includes detailed how-to videos.
Now, on to the review… I love this faucet! Seriously, the Touch20 Technology® is awesome. It’s a well-welcomed addition to my kitchen. It’s particularly useful, when I’m preparing meat, and my hands are all yucky. I don’t have to worry about getting anything all “germy.” I just touch the back (clean) of my hand to the faucet, and voila – it comes right on.
One of my favorite features of the Pilar is the pull-down spout. You truly need only to pull down on the spout and it extends out of the neck of the faucet becoming the sprayer. I love this feature! There are also two different spray functions for the spout. One is a more direct spray, and the other is a wider spray. Each is wonderful, and serves a purpose, for different tasks. Although, I do wish that the direct spray had a little more power behind it, but overall it’s great. Another bonus… the button to change the spray function is located right on the spout so that you can change it with your finger while it is in the traditional docked position and when it is pulled out like a sprayer.
The Pilar, I reviewed also came with a matching soap dispenser. And, with a very busy four-year-old son, tons of hand washing is always necessary. The built in dispenser gives a sleek, clean appearance to our sink area and is very functional.
Bottom line is… we love our new faucet! It’s a mom’s (and dad’s) dream. Be sure to check these sites, to more about Delta Faucet: Twitter, Facebook or YouTube!
I received the above faucet, for free, for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received and all opinions expressed are my own.
